新しい筆／New Brushes

新しい筆が出来上がりました。
秋からのパフォーマンスに使います。
指の先から穂が生えたようです。

筆をとおして、身体の動きを紙に残す。
でもいざ筆を構えると、つい書法の筆運びが出てしまいます。
手技が過ぎると、線は小賢しく、あざとくなります。
体動の軌跡をストレートに現出させたい。
筆を道具と見なすと、どうしても線に手技があらわれます。
筆を身体の一部に、
自らを筆に。

東洋の舞踊は、指の動きにも特徴があります。
この筆で、体動のみならず『指動』の軌跡も残せたらと思っています。


My new brushes have been completed.
I will try them in next performance in autumn.
It looks as if a brush sprouts up from the tip of my fingers.
In performance, I convert the movement of my body into a line on paper through a brush.
I want to convert as it is, but skill of calligraphy sometimes appears in a line and make the line affected and unnatural.
As long as I regard a brush as a tool, it is inevitable that skill appears in the line.
I hope a brush would be a part of my body.
In other words, I wish I myself could become a brush.
Generally speaking, dance in the East has a unique characteristic in the movement of fingers.
So I hope to express not only the track of my body but also the track of my fingers by new brushes.
